Project- James Brindley School

James Brindley School

James Brindley School in Birmingham approached Lichfields Furniture following their newly refurbished premises to provide a number of storage solutions for their specialist school.

Requiring high quality, purpose built storage in both classrooms and offices, Lichfields Furniture designed each element of the project individually based upon space, need and usage and created each piece of furniture by hand in their family-run workshop in Lichfield.

The school needed a number of flexible use storage units for small classrooms with limited space and floor-to-ceiling cabinets for their multi-purpose class rooms and offices.

Two class rooms required a more detailed approach as they act as both science and art rooms. Following an in depth on-site survey, we designed and installed bespoke fitted cabinets, pull out storage drawers and shelves and additional requirements including sinks and gas taps for science projects.

"We approached Lichfields Furniture to resolve both our classroom and office storage problems here at James Brindley School. Lichfields came out on site, provided a full survey and gave me advice on the best solutions for our needs. The end result is both stylish and practical, but most of all, I must mention Stuart’s professional and helpful manner from start to end." - Paul Lynch, Facilities Manager, James Brindley School.
